The Fall Harvest-themed Open House will focus on preventative wellness care in dogs and cats. Family-oriented fall activities include bobbing for apples, canine costume contest, face painting, bounce house, pet portraits, a canine demonstration and free food. The vet hospital's veterinary care team will be on hand to answer questions about wellness care – including pet vaccinations, dental cleaning/tooth brushing, and the importance of annual health screenings. The open house will be held from noon to 3:00pm.

"We are excited to invite the surrounding community to bring their entire family – children, pets and parents – to come out for our upcoming Fall Open House," said Ft. Worth veterinarian and hospital owner, Dr. Louisa Martin. "The Open House is a great opportunity to meet our entire veterinary care team, enjoy lots of food and fun activities and learn a little about the importance of wellness care for their pets (although we'll try to keep the education portion to a low roar.)"

The Canine Costume Contest will take place at 1:30 p.m. and pet owners are also invited to dress up for the contest! There will be three categories: Best Dressed, Most Original and Best Pet/ Owner Combo.

There will also be a canine training demonstration featuring some amazing dogs handled by their owner/ trainer – Matt Marcum. "The Open House is a great opportunity to bring the family for a full afternoon of pet focused fun," said veterinarian Dr. Louisa Martin. "We will be on hand to answer questions our clients may have and mostly just to enjoy the opportunity to spend some time with them and their precious pets."

The veterinary hospital will also be hosting an adoption event in conjunction with the Open House.

"At Boat Club Road Animal Hospital, we are passionate about ensuring all pets have loving homes," said veterinarian Dr. Martin. "As part of our Open House, we will be hosting an animal adoption event. We invite individuals who are interested in learning more about pet adoption to stop by our Open House and meet the dogs who are available for adoption."
