Envivio Awarded Top Score in BTR Diamond Reviews

Envivio Halo Experience Server and Muse On-Demand Honored for Innovation

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Oct. 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Envivio (Nasdaq:ENVI), a leading provider of software-based video processing and delivery solutions, today announced that the Envivio Halo™ Experience Server and Envivio Muse™ On-Demand transcoder have received outstanding scores in the 2013 Broadband Technology Report (BTR) Diamond Technology Reviews. Halo Experience was awarded 4.5 diamonds, this year's highest score, and Muse On-Demand received a mark of 3.5 diamonds with honorable mention.

Conducted annually, the Diamond Reviews honor the top products in the industry, with judging based on criteria including unique technology/application, innovation, ease of use, efficiency, reliability and contribution to profitability. Judges for this year's Diamond Technology Reviews included cable industry experts from Bright House, Buckeye, Comcast, Mediacom, Rogers, Suddenlink, and Time Warner Cable.

Introduced in April 2013, Halo Experience is a multi-screen application server designed to allow operators to further personalize the user experience based on individual viewer requests and facilitate advanced applications without significant changes to the existing infrastructure.

One judge remarked, "The Halo Experience Server offers MSOs a solution for enabling new multi-screen applications including network DVR and targeted advertising to generate additional revenue streams. The solution can be installed with minimal impact to the existing infrastructure in a short timeframe, making it all the more attractive to operators."

Another reviewer liked its content personalization capabilities, saying, "When looking to add the functionality of the Halo network media processor to add in great features like trick plays to live streams or to record programs and transfer them to mobile units and then to add in the capabilities for sending instant video clips to friends and building custom TV channels with a la carte content, [these features] make the Halo Experience server a game changer."

Muse On-Demand is Envivio's software-based offline transcoder designed to offer high quality and high speed transcoding and reduce costs for operators at various stages in the on-demand workflow. Supporting the full range of codecs, formats and resolutions, including HEVC (H.265), AVC (H.264), MPEG-2 and adaptive bitrates (ABR) for multi-screen TV services, Muse On-Demand incorporates features including automated quality checks and dynamic just-in-time packaging (JITP) when used with Envivio Halo network media processors.

A Diamond Reviews judge described the Muse On-Demand solution as a "solid encoding platform with accommodation for 4K and HEVC."

Envivio Halo and Muse On-Demand will be on display at the upcoming SCTE Cable-Tec Expo taking place in Atlanta, October 22-24, at booth #335.

More than 300 content and service providers around the globe have selected Envivio to power their multi-screen and Pay TV services. Visit www.envivio.com to learn more about TV without boundaries.
