LogMeIn's Xively Executive to be Featured Speaker at the Harvard Innovation Lab

IoT Public Cloud Innovator Will Discuss How Entrepreneurs Can Capitalize on the Internet of Things

BOSTON, Oct. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Xively, a subsidiary of LogMeIn (Nasdaq:LOGM) and creator of the first public cloud platform for the commercial Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that Chad Jones, Xively's Vice President of Product Strategy, will be speaking at the Harvard Innovation Lab at Harvard University's Batten Hall, Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 24 at 6pm.

In his presentation, "The Business of the Internet of Things," Jones will discuss how the IoT, predicted to generate up to $14.4 trillion1 in revenue by 2020, has the potential to revolutionize the relationship between people and their world through extreme connectivity. He will cover the business and technical considerations and nuances of building an IoT-connected product.

"I'm extremely excited to speak with tomorrow's business leaders about how to take advantage of the IoT opportunity. The Internet of Things is already impacting fields ranging from light industrial and consumer to health and sciences, and we believe it has the potential to be even more transformative than the huge Web and mobile waves before it. The possibilities are limited only by our imaginations," said Jones.
