ConnectOne Bank's Sorrentino Elected to American Bankers Association Board


ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Oct. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Frank Sorrentino III, Chairman and CEO of ConnectOne Bank and ConnectOne Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNOB) has been elected to the board of directors of the American Bankers Association (ABA). ABA's board is the association's governing body between annual conventions and is made up of CEOs from banks of all sizes.

Sorrentino has overseen the Bank's growth from a de novo financial institution to a publicly traded financial institution with eight branches and more than $1 billion in assets. Sorrentino has also become a national thought-leader in the banking industry, frequently commenting on issues concerning all bankers.
