Westamerica Bancorporation Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend


SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Oct. 24, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of Westamerica Bancorporation (Nasdaq:WABC) today declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.38 per share on common stock outstanding to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 4, 2013. The dividend is payable November 15, 2013.

Chairman, President and CEO David Payne stated, "This dividend increase demonstrates Westamerica's focus on delivering long-term growth in shareholder returns. Our healthy capital base, continuing improvement in asset quality, and earnings level support our dividend."

On October 16, 2013, Westamerica reported $17 million in net income for the three months ended September 30, 2013, or $0.63 diluted earnings per common share.
