The highly scalable nature of Manhattan's WMS means Shanghai Pharma is able to handle extremely high throughput within its new DC, ensuring a continuous, smooth operation during peak periods. The solution has also reduced operating costs within the DC and allowed Shanghai Pharma to improve customer service through improved service levels.
According to Shanghai Pharma's Logistics Department, "We saw improved benefit from this latest deployment of Manhattan's supply chain commerce technology. The scalable nature of the Manhattan solution helps Shanghai Pharma comfortably handle its order processing peaks each week, when throughput volumes can surge by 200 to 300 per cent. Today, Shanghai Pharma is processing a daily fulfilment volume of up to 35,000 cases per day.
