Two New ALLDATA Products Help Auto Shops Unplug, Yet Stay Connected.

Mobile and Cloud-Based Technologies Offer New Flexibility, Efficiency and Revenue Opportunities to Auto Repair Shops.

ELK GROVE, Calif., Nov. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- At the 2013 Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week trade shows in Las Vegas, ALLDATA LLC, the leading provider of manufacturers' automotive repair information and solutions for the professional automotive service and collision repair industries, will showcase its new ALLDATA Mobile app and cloud-based ALLDATA Manage Online shop management system.

"ALLDATA was an innovator from the very beginning," said ALLDATA President Jeff Lagges. "We were first to market with manufacturers' repair data in electronic form, and we are still developing technologies designed to help automotive repair shops thrive. Industry Week is the perfect time to showcase what we have been working on. The new ALLDATA products being debuted at the shows are part of our longer-term strategy of creating practical, easy-to-use tools that improve shop operations and profitability."

ALLDATA Mobile is now available as an iPad® app and will soon be introduced on the Android® platform. With ALLDATA Mobile, technicians can access ALLDATA's vast database of vehicle manufacturers' diagnostic and repair information. They can also connect to vehicles through the OBD port, read VIN information and pull standard P Codes, which are linked to specific manufacturers' repair articles.

ALLDATA Manage Online, a cloud-based shop management system, will also be introduced during Industry Week. ALLDATA Manage Online is a streamlined, browser-enabled application. Because of this, a service writer can have access to ALLDATA Manage Online anywhere within a Repair Shop that has WiFi – even from tablets/mobile devices. As an online product, there is no installation, and backups and updates are automatic.

"We are focused on workflow based solutions using mobile platforms," explained ALLDATA's Lagges. "I invite everyone at SEMA and AAPEX to stop by and test drive and pre-order ALLDATA Mobile and ALLDATA Manage Online."

For more information and demonstrations of these and other ALLDATA products, visit booth #11119 at the SEMA Show, November 5-8, 2013 and booth #5042 at AAPEX 2013, November 5-7, 2013 in Las Vegas.
