FSR Magazine Debuts 2014 Buyer's Guide and Seeks Nominations for "40 Under 40" Stars

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Nov. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The November issue of FSR magazine presents a curated collection of products introduced into the restaurant industry over the last 18 months, ranging from food and ingredients to technology to bar tools.

Hundreds of products were considered—from nominations submitted by vendors and industry professionals, press announcements, and product introductions at trade events—before the list was honed to an edited selection of those deemed most useful and among the best in their respective categories.

"We assembled products from across all aspects of restaurant operations in hopes of having something for everyone that will help to inform purchasing plans in the coming year," says Connie Gentry, editor of FSR. "This will be a useful resource because restaurants are continuously making purchases. In fact, our July readership survey revealed that 38 percent of our readers have food and beverage budgets of $5 million or greater."

The November issue also marks the completion of FSR's successful first year in print. In 2014, the magazine will increase its frequency to eight issues, as well as grow its presence online at fsrmagazine.com, with increased content and additional e-newsletters focused on Beverage News & Trends and Restaurant Technology.

FSR is accepting nominations through November 30th for Rising Stars: 40 Under 40, which will profile industry professionals from all aspects of full-service restaurant operations and will appear in the March 2014 issue. Nominations may be submitted to connie@fsrmagazine.com, and should include the nominee's name, position, age as of March 1, 2014, a brief description for why the person should be considered, and contact information.
