New event series offers the chance to drive real street cars on some of the fastest and most famous tracks in the world as part of the newly formed Ultimate Street Car Association (USCA), allowing performance enthusiasts to compete in a 10-race series that focuses on safety, organization, education and fun.

Las Vegas, Nov. 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The first all-new motorsports sanctioning body in years was announced today at The SEMA Show, when partners Jimi Day, Wally Olczak and John Condren revealed plans for the Ultimate Street Car Association (USCA), a sanctioning body formed to create safe, fun and high profile national automotive events for street legal performance vehicles.

The USCA has made a commitment to produce 10 national events in 2014 that will establish a consistently formatted series for enthusiasts of all skill levels. The series will also be nationally televised thanks to a partnership with MAVtv, which will air the races in a 13-episode series to over 30 million homes in the U.S.

"The beauty of the USCA is that it offers performance street car enthusiasts the opportunity to participate in three day events that include a road rally, a speed-stop challenge, an autocross and road racing on some of the most spectacular tracks in the world," said USCA co-founder Jimi Day. "Our team has been organizing some of the most successful track events in the country for years, and we felt it was time to give real-world performance driving enthusiasts the opportunity to compete in a fun, safe and professionally organized environment specifically designed for high-performance street cars. From imports to German sport sedans to modified muscle cars and brand new supercars, they're all welcome."

The events and the series will provide a safe and fun experience for all enthusiasts and each event will encourage participants of all levels with on-site education and instruction available for new and experienced drivers alike. From great social activities to camaraderie on the road, USCA promises to offer a valuable and memorable experience.

The 2014 race calendar has already been set, with dates locked in at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Texas Motor Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, Auto Club Speedway, Road America, Gateway Motorsports Park, Portland International Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway and the Pittsburg International Race Complex. The USCA is a points-based series, and finalists will have the opportunity to compete at the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Las Vegas following the 2014 SEMA Show.
