All About Beans -- the Topic of Coffee at the Modern Bakery Moscow 2014

NUREMBERG, GERMANY and MOSCOW, RUSSIA--(Marketwired - Nov 11, 2013) -

  • Coffee consumption is increasing in Russia
  • Coffee is becoming increasingly popular
  • Trendy topic on the rise
  • 20th Modern Bakery Moscow takes up on this topic: 23 - 26 April 2014 -- save the date

No good and delicious breakfast or work break is ever complete without a cup of freshly ground and brewed coffee. However, in the meantime, coffee alone is not enough. Different varieties, brewing techniques, machines and flavours contribute in making the topic of coffee so interesting, especially for the 20th Modern Bakery Moscow in April 2014. "Flavour and enjoyment belong to Modern Bakery Moscow, just as beans belong to coffee. We will once again be picking up on this topic in April 2014 and present it at our trade fair in Moscow," explains Bernd D. Fichtner, managing director of the trade fair organiser of Modern Bakery Moscow 2014.

Coffee houses in Moscow -- the potential is increasing
The whole coffee segment is displaying a strong upward trend in Russia. Already today there are more than 600 coffee houses in Moscow -- and counting. In the course of the last year, consumption increased by 5% to approximately one kilogram per person -- and this is also increasing. In international comparison, 4,000,000 bags of coffee à 60 kilograms were consumed in Russia in 2012 (in comparison: in Germany it was a total of virtually 9,500,000 bags). Presently Russia is procuring the largest share of its coffee from Brazil, India, Vietnam, Germany and Indonesia. "Traditionally, a lot of tea is drunk in Russia, but we are noting a clear trend regarding use, consumption and demand," Fichtner adds.

What is included: All about the topic of coffee
Beans and flavoured syrups alone by no means succeed in covering the broad scope of coffee. Still to be added are coffee machine manufacturers, entire shop fitting concepts, different roasting businesses using different methods and offers or speeches within the context of the supporting programme that illustrate the profitable use of coffee concepts in the HoReCa-segment at the Modern Bakery Moscow 2014.
