FBR Hires Sanjay K. Shrestha as Investment Banking Managing Director


Aditya Satghare Joins as VP, Research Analyst

Shrestha Brings 15 Years of Experience to Energy Banking Team

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FBR & Co. (Nasdaq:FBRC) ("FBR" or the "Company"), a leading investment bank serving the middle market, announced today that Sanjay K. Shrestha has been hired by the Company to join its Investment Banking division. Mr. Shrestha will focus on the renewable energy sector, which he has covered as an Equity Research Analyst for the last fifteen years. FBR has also hired Aditya Satghare to join the Research department and cover the renewable energy sector.

Most recently Mr. Shrestha served as Managing Director of Equity Research at Lazard Capital Markets (LCM) where he was head of global alternative energy and industrial sustainability. During his tenure at LCM, he won numerous accolades and industry awards for his market leading coverage of the energy sector. Prior to joining LCM, he held a similar position at First Albany Capital and began his career at C.L. King & Associates. Mr. Shrestha earned a B.S. from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. He will be based in FBR's New York office.

Mr. Satghare also comes to FBR from Lazard Capital Markets where he worked in the research department focusing on advanced transportation, energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Satghare held similar positions at Diamondback Capital Management and CitiGroup Global Asset Management. He earned a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and an M.S. in Financial Engineering from NYU Polytechnic Institute. He will be based in FBR's New York office.
