Hang w/ Announces Live Streaming to Facebook

Hang w/ 2.0 Introduces New Social Media Integration, Improved UI/UX, Longer Broadcasts and a Host of New Features

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 26, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MEDL Mobile, Inc. (OTCBB:MEDL) – a custom developer and incubator of mobile applications – announced today the release of Hang w/ 2.0 and a host of new features including the ability to stream live video from mobile to Facebook.

By adding the stream to Facebook functionality, Hang w/ offers users the ability to stream live video from Hang w/ to their Facebook wall. Videos can be viewed and shared by friends, whether or not they use a mobile device. Because Hang w/ streamed videos can be shared from one Facebook user to another, this new feature will create increased exposure and virality for the newly emerging and fast growing social media platform.

The "Hang w/" app, which connects people through live streaming video and simultaneous chat, was first released to the Apple App Store in March. Hang w/ has released several updates in the platform's first seven months to tune performance and make minor enhancements. This release represents the first significant step forward in technology, user experience and functionality. New features include:

- improved video and audio quality;

- live simultaneous streaming to Facebook and to the web;

- #hashtags to allow for custom content channels and deeper Twitter integration;

- 3, 6 and 9 minute broadcasting options;

- "coins" for the eventual purchase of digital content and digital goods;

- simplified archives for easier access;

- a new robust moderation/monitoring platform and user privacy controls;

- extensive integration of iOS7 functionality.

"The mobile social market is growing rapidly," said Andrew Maltin, CEO. "Live streaming represents an entirely new category and we have our eyes set on being the category innovator and the market leader. Hang w/ 2.0 is our second major step in that direction."

"I'm so proud of our entire team," said Dave Swartz, President and Chief Creative Officer. "We took a product that the market clearly embraced - and brought it to a whole new level. The user experience is simplified and a handful of really cool new features have been added to the mix. Everything in 2.0 was a request, and sometimes a demand, from our users - and from the early beta reactions we've gotten so far, we think people are going to love it."

"We intend to really push the limits of what's possible with our streaming technology," added Maltin. "By releasing stream to Facebook, along with longer broadcasts, we've made it easier for our users to capture and share live moments outside of Hang w/ - and we've made it easier for those moments to go viral."

Hang w/ 2.0 uses an extensive set of iOS7 features in order to deliver the highest quality live streaming experience the system can deliver. Apple users not yet on iOS7 will be required to upgrade.

Hang w/ 2.0 for Android is currently in development. Hang w/ 1.0 for Android is compatible with Hang w/ 2.0 for iOS - but does not include the full feature set.
