KPMG LLP Names John Riordan Managing Partner of Its Knoxville Office


KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, has named John Riordan as managing partner of its Knoxville office.

In his new role, Riordan will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the Knoxville office, which serves clients throughout eastern Tennessee. Riordan is the firm's first managing partner in Knoxville, an office which has recently relocated to the First Tennessee Plaza.

Riordan has 26 years of experience that ranges from serving large multinational SEC registrants to start-up companies in the technology, consumer markets, industrial markets and manufacturing sectors. He joined KPMG in 1987 and was admitted to the partnership in 2000.

Active in the community, Riordan looks forward to working with his colleagues in Knoxville charitable and civic affairs. He has served as a board member for Literacy Action, Inc.; past treasurer and executive committee member of The Empty Stocking Fund; member Tocqueville Society of United Way; and has coached several youth sports teams.

Riordan graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York at Albany. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Tennessee and Georgia.
