Covisint and EMA Webinar Identifies Five Keys to More Effectively Managing SaaS Investments

Enterprise Management Associates Vice President to Detail Study Results From 100+ Enterprises That Are Externalizing Key Business Processes in the Cloud

DETROIT, Dec. 5, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Covisint Corporation (Nasdaq:COVS), provider of a leading cloud engagement platform, will host a webinar on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, outlining critical software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment goals--and the pitfalls enterprises should avoid. The key findings in the webinar are based on an Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) study of more than 100 large enterprises on their progress in externalizing key business processes in the cloud.

During the webinar, EMA's Vice President and study author, Dennis Drogseth, will detail the survey's findings for enterprises of 1,000+ employees, including:

  • How they, on average, use 20 public SaaS services with a total monthly cost of $100K to $250K;
  • That only 34 percent believed that they were very successful in optimizing their SaaS deployments; and,
  • That almost 60 percent wanted--but did not have--a fully integrated platform for optimizing SaaS deployments, including identity management, usage and response-time monitoring.

"The ability for companies to externalize their business processes, initiatives and hybrid environments in the cloud will increasingly define business success," said Drogseth. "This webinar will help attendees and their organizations understand the requirements to manage and control cloud initiatives to achieve the expected business flexibility and agility gains."

The webinar will explain how a platform for SaaS management--providing identity management, end user adoption and usage, and response-time monitoring--can deliver the information and governance capabilities to optimize SaaS deployments. During the webinar, Covisint's Halim Cho, Director of Product Marketing, will present both the best practices and pitfalls to avoid when implementing cloud-based identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) for achieving optimal value and cost from an increasingly SaaS-driven world.

Who should attend: VPs, directors, managers of enterprise architecture, corporate data security, data center operations, infrastructure operations, desktop operations/support and service desk, along with those responsible for managing the deployment, performance and adoption of cloud-based applications.
