SP Plus Relocates Steven Aiello to Oversee Northwest Operations

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 18, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SP Plus Corporation (Nasdaq:SP), a leading national provider of professional parking, ground transportation, facility maintenance, security and event logistics services, announced that Steven Aiello, Senior Vice President of Operations, has relocated to the Company's San Francisco office, where he has assumed responsibility for the Company's operations in northern California, the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Mr. Aiello, who also will assist with business development efforts in those markets, reports to Ed Simmons, Executive Vice President of Operations for the Company's West Division.

This marks the first time the Company has based a senior vice president in northern California. Creation of the position and the decision to relocate Mr. Aiello reflect the Company's strategic commitment to devote additional resources to the geographic northwest. Prior to his relocation, Mr. Aiello served as senior vice president for the New York, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania markets.

"We're very excited to have Steven join the West Division of SP+," said Ed Simmons, the Division's Executive Vice President of Operations. "His experience in large, mid-sized and small market segments made him a natural choice for this role, and he will bring a fresh perspective to our west coast operations. Extending our senior leadership into these areas will not only provide our clients with better service, but will allow SP+ to aggressively pursue new business opportunities."

For the past 20 years, Mr. Aiello has held management positions for the two largest parking companies in North America, Standard Parking and Central Parking. He has held memberships in numerous industry associations including: the International Parking Institute (IPI), Urban Land Institute, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and multiple regional parking associations. Mr. Aiello received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular, Developmental and Cellular Biology from the University of Colorado. He earned his Masters of International Business (MIB) from the University of Miami.
