The complaint alleges that the Company made materially false and misleading statements regarding the purported strength of the Company's rollout of version 4 of its Battlefield video game series. On October 29, 2013, EA increased its guidance for fiscal 2014. On November 15, 2013, Battlefield launched simultaneously with the new PlayStation 4; since its launch, EA has been forced to issue multiple patches to fix glitches and other problems with the game. Then on December 4, 2013, it was disclosed that EA was forced to halt upcoming projects related to Battlefield 4 and other projects in development due to bugs, connectivity issues, and other problems plaguing the game. Shares of EA have fallen from a close of $24.83 the day before the launch (October 28, 2013) to a recent close of $22.75 per share.
