Rederi AB Transatlantic appoints new managing director

The Board of Directors in Rederi AB TransAtlantic has decided to appoint Tom
Ruud as new managing director of the company with immediate effect. Tom Ruud
replaces Henning Jensen who has requested to the RABT Board of directors that he
would like to vacate the position as managing director of RABT.

Henning Jensen remains as a board member in Rederi AB Transatlantic.

Tom Ruud is a board member of the largest shareholder in Rederi AB
TransAtlantic, Kistefos AS since 2010. In February 2014 Tom Ruud will be
appointed Group CEO of Kistefos AS. Most recently, Tom Ruud was a member of the
executive management of the Norwegian investment company Umoe-group. Before that
he was a member of the executive management in Nordea Bank AB (publ), Group
President and CEO of Christiania Bank og Kreditkasse and held varied positions
in the Aker Norcem Group of which five years as Group President and CEO. Tom
Ruud has held the following board positions: board member in Euroclear SA/PLC
Brussels, chairman of Orkla ASA, board member of Christiania Bank og
Kreditkasse, board member of Aker RGI ASA and chairman of Aker Maritim ASA,
board member in Scandcem AB, vice chairman of Partek AB Oy, board member of
Storebrand ASA, board member of Saga Petroleum ASA and board member of EUROC
AB.

The Board of Directors in Rederi AB Transatlantic would like to take the
