ICA Receives Additional Payment of US$ 147 Million for the La Yesca Hydroelectric Project


MEXICO CITY, Dec. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Empresas ICA, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV:ICA) (NYSE:ICA), the largest infrastructure and construction company in Mexico, announced today receipt of an additional US$ 147 million for the La Yesca hydroelectric project.

ICA delivered the 750 MW hydroelectric project, formally known as the La Yesca "Ing. Alfredo Elias Ayub" Hydroelectric Project, to the Federal Electricity Commission in 2012. The additional payment represents partial settlement for additional work undertaken on the project. The parties continue to reconcile the total value of additional work, as part of the finalization of the contract. The payments were used in their entirety to pay short-term project debt.
