On 27 December 2013, a contract was signed by SIA Merks – part of the AS Merko Ehitus group – and Valmiera’s Professional School to perform the construction works of professional school in Valmiera, Latvia.

Under the contract, SIA Merks will build a new school building and a student hostel, also reconstruct the existing school building, the student hostel and the laboratory.

The expected value of the contract is 5.9 million euros, plus value added tax. The works are to start in January 2014 and scheduled for completion in April 2015.
