LeMaitre to Sell Direct-to-Hospital in Australia and Norway

BURLINGTON, Mass., Jan. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LeMaitre Vascular, Inc. (Nasdaq:LMAT), a provider of peripheral vascular devices and implants, announced today that it has begun selling Direct-to-Hospital in Australia and Norway in January 2014.

"Geographic expansion continues to fuel our growth. With the addition of Australia and Norway, we now sell directly to hospitals in 19 of the 25 highest GDP per capita countries. Being direct in so many countries allows us to better serve our vascular surgeon customers," said George W. To prepare for the go-direct initiative in Australia, the Company appointed a country manager in Q3 2013 and opened an office in Melbourne in Q4 2013. The Company hired two Australian sales reps in December 2013, and on January 1, 2014, it transitioned all Australian customer relationships from its previous distributor.

The Company also hired its first Norwegian sales rep in December 2013, and transitioned all Norwegian customer relationships from its previous distributor on January 1, 2014.
