COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In a show of support for children in need, Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems (http://www.morgandrexen.com) and its employees donated thousands of dollars worth of basic supplies with a year-end gift to the Orange County Rescue Mission.

The supplies were collected through a company-wide Christmas tree decorating contest where employees creatively decorated trees on each of the company's 5 floors with items that are often overlooked during the holidays, including important essentials for babies and young children. The decorations included baby wipes, diapers, soap, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, gloves and other important products.

"Holiday spirit is never higher than when you are helping children in need," said Morgan Drexen CEO, Walter Ledda. "The creativity of our employees never ceases to amaze me. Entire Christmas trees were decorated from top to bottom with the everyday essentials that children need at the OC Rescue Mission," Ledda continued.

The winners of the contest were the employees of the second floor who collectively decorated their Christmas tree with more than 10 boxes of donated items which were delivered to those in need just before Christmas.
