(Nasdaq:FALC), a market leader in data protection and migration, is pleased to announce the appointment of Herb Siegel as vice president and general manager of sales for the Americas, including North America and Latin America. Siegel brings to FalconStor more than 25 years of experience, with a focus on enterprise technology sales, working with companies including Sterling Infosystems, CA Technologies, and ePlus Systems. He also, in the past, served as vice president of enterprise business for FalconStor. In his new role, Siegel will be responsible for growing and maintaining the company's customer base in the Americas, including direct- and channel-sales initiatives. Siegel will be based at FalconStor's global corporate headquarters in Melville, NY, reporting directly to the president and CEO, Gary Quinn.

Most recently, Siegel served as executive vice president of sales for Sterling Infosystems, where his sales team is credited with Sterling being recognized by Crain's as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in New York City. Prior to Sterling, Siegel was senior vice president of sales and business development for ePlus Inc., a FalconStor channel partner. Before ePlus, Siegel held roles with The Business Acceleration Group, LLC and FalconStor. Siegel also spent 17 years with CA Technologies where he held senior management roles in software development, sales and marketing.
A Melville resident, Siegel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in computer science from Adelphi University.
