Kennebunkport Resort Collection (KRC) Chooses Docassist's Cloud Document Management to Centralize and Automate Accounts Payable

Miramar, Florida, Jan. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Kennebunkport Resort Collection  (KRC) owns a group of nine hotels as well as restaurants on the Maine coast.  The hotels and restaurants generate numerous invoices that are paid through a consolidated Accounts Payable function at KRC's Kennebunk headquarters.  Before choosing Docassist and Intacct, KRC hotels and restaurants sent invoices to the corporate office by fax and inter-company mail.  There, the data was entered manually in QuickBooks.  When data was needed to substantiate a transaction, manual searches through paper invoices was the only way to find the pertinent document.   

KRC's manual process cost time and money, so they began looking for an easy-to-use document management system that integrated with Intacct, a cloud solution they had chosen for their accounting needs.  They found Docassist through its website (docassist.us).

Now,  KRC's nine hotel properties and their restaurants send their invoices by email to the corporate office.  Attributes are added to the invoice based on vendor lists that are automatically copied from Intacct.  The invoices pass through an automated workflow for review and approval.  When they are approved, the transaction is automatically pushed to Intacct.  Data has to be entered only once.  Invoices are stored in Docassist and available from within Intacct, linked to the pertinent accounting transaction.   "Now we can easily find any invoice we want, as well as related documents, without ever having to leave Intacct," said Bill Bamford.
