NEW YORK, Jan. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Current Capital LLC ("Current Capital"), a private equity investing and management services firm focused on middle market and smaller companies in the industrial and services industries, announced that two individuals with extensive experience in the global automotive industry have joined its Advisory Board: Glenn Mercer, a former Partner in the Automotive Practice at McKinsey & Company, and Robert J.Remenar, President and Chief Executive Office of Chassix, Inc., a leading provider of precision casting and machining solutions for the automotive industry.
The addition of Mr. Mercer and Mr. Remenar brings the total number of Current Capital's Advisory Board members to sixteen. Current Capital's Advisory Board includes current and former executives who participate in the firm's private equity investing and management services businesses by helping to source and execute investment and consulting opportunities.
Glenn Mercer spent over 20 years at McKinsey where he provided automotive clients with expertise on diverse topics from modular assembly to dealer network management and more, and has continued in this role in his own private practice. Robert Remenar assumed his position with Chassix in 2012. Prior to Chassix, Mr. Remenar was President and CEO of Nexteer Automotive, the former Delphi Steering Division acquired by Pacific Century Motors, a special purpose entity of the Beijing government. Previously, Mr. Remenar had various roles of increasing responsibility at Delphi and General Motors Corporation. Both Mr. Mercer and Mr. Remenar were directors of Stackpole International, the automotive pump and powdered metal business acquired by The Sterling Group, Current Capital and other investors in 2011 and successfully sold to Crestview in 2013.
