MEDIA ADVISORY -- Newport News Shipbuilding to Host Grand Opening of Aiken, S.C., Field Office

ADVISORY, Jan. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

What: Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) will host a reception to celebrate the opening of its new Aiken, S.C., field office, located at 152 Laurens St. SW. The office will provide NNS with a presence in the region, where it is currently working and pursuing energy projects.
   
When: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21
   
Where: Newberry Hall

  Aiken, S.C.
   
  The reception will be followed by a ribbon-cutting at the new office, within walking distance. A media availability will be held after the ribbon-cutting.

NNS President Matt Mulherin and other division leadership will be joined by Fred Dohse, executive vice president and chief operations officer for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, and David Jameson, president and CEO of the Aiken Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate the office opening.
