COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The management and employees of Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems (http://www.morgandrexen.com) announced today that the company plans to direct all January fundraising efforts to benefit Children's Hospital of Orange County. The announcement comes as Morgan Drexen moves closer to reaching their donation commitment of $35,000 to help children in need at the hospital.
"Children's Hospital of Orange County, or CHOC as it is often called, is very near and dear to us here at Morgan Drexen," said CEO, Walter Ledda. "We have nearly 250 employees – many of whom have had the hospital touch their lives or the lives of friends and relatives. That's what makes our support to CHOC so special to us."
Morgan Drexen has been a long-term supporter of CHOC through donations, sponsorships, attendance at both educational and charitable events, and most recently through the company's commitment to donate $35,000. The company had originally planned to commit to a $25,000 donation, but as it neared that goal quickly raised it to $35,000.

The company has chosen January as the month to bring awareness to Children's Hospital of Orange County because they wanted to support the hospital at a time of the year when traditionally donations slow down. The desire to support CHOC comes from every employee and member of the management team, including the CEO, Walter Ledda who has personally donated $10,000 towards the goal.
