On 16 January 2014, we have received the following notification pursuant
section 21 (1) WpHG:

The voting rights of Capital Research and Management Company, Los Angeles,
U.S.A., in Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft exceeded the threshold of
5% on 10 January 2014 and amount to 5.34% (24,641,315 voting rights) as per
this date. Of these voting rights, 5.34% (24,641,315 voting rights) are to
be attributed to it pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG. Of these
attributed voting rights, 4.77% (21.987.815 voting rights) were held by
Euro Pacific Growth Fund as of the aforementioned date.
