Next Step Citizen A/S in Esbjerg is a start-up company founded by Syd Energi Holding A/S and Trifork A/S to target the market for digital welfare solutions (commonly known as Telemedicine solutions). The company was founded in the fall of 2012 and now has developed a Telemedicine IT-platform that enables inter-sectoral collaboration in regard to performing care of patients in their own homes. The platform has been developed in collaboration with the Municipalities in Esbjerg and Horsens and is now implemented in pilot-installations at both locations. Trifork has been responsible for the development of the platform.

The parties that founded the company have decided to simplify the ownership structure in order to ensure 100% focus on the future development of the company. This is done by Trifork selling its shareholding to Syd Energi (SE) and afterwards continuing as subcontractor with the responsibility for the further development of the platform.

Next Step Citizen will continue to focus on delivering attractive Telemedicine solutions to the regions and municipalities in Denmark and will intensify its focus on this marked.

The transfer of shares takes place in best understanding between the parties. The agreement gives Trifork the opportunity to use the developed integration platform in projects internationally and outside of the domain of Next Step Citizen in Denmark.
