'Bitcoin Across America' Ultra-Marathon Raising Funds, Awareness to Combat Hunger, Homelessness

KryptoKit Online Bitcoin Wallet Supplying Support RV as Sean's Outpost Founder Runs From Miami's North American Bitcoin Conference to San Francisco

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - Jan 26, 2014) - Sean's Outpost (http://seansoutpost.com/), a homeless outreach center in Pensacola, Fla., and KryptoKit (http://www.kryptokit.com/), the easiest and fastest way to handle Bitcoin transactions, today announced the beginning of the Bitcoin Across America (http://bitcoinacrossamerica.com), an "ultra-marathon" to raise funds and awareness to combat homelessness and hunger in the United States. The announcement came at the close of the first North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami, Jan. 24 through 26.

Jason King, the founder of Sean's Outpost, will be running from Miami across the country to San Francisco. While he is on the road, KryptoKit, an online Bitcoin wallet, will be supplying the support RV and working with other companies to provide and supplies. Bitcoin donations are being accepted at the project's website.

"We don't have to invest billions of dollars in research and development to know that the cure for homelessness is a home," said King. "While the game is rigged on the American banking system, Bitcoin changes that entire game. It gives control over personal economic freedom to anyone who wants to wield it."

King plans to be in Texas on March 6, in time for the Texas Bitcoin Conference, where he is a scheduled speaker. Money raised from the run will go to provide meals and support for Satoshi's Forest, the nine-acre homeless sanctuary owned and managed by Sean's Outpost, named after King's best friend, Sean Dugas, who was murdered in 2012.

KryptoKit's Bitcoin wallet for Google Chrome is an extension that eliminates the tiresome copying and pasting normally required of online shoppers using the digital currency. Shoppers simply surf over to any online merchant that accepts Bitcoins. The extension automatically sniffs out the Bitcoin addresses for each item from the site and inserts them into the wallet, making them into a list of payment options. All the user needs to do is simply click on what he or she wants to purchase and hit send.

The wallet currently has a five-star rating in the Chrome Web Store and can be downloaded for free. KryptoKit has future plans to integrate with other major Bitcoin and digital currency processors in the coming months.
