At the top of its game: Peak Systems is now UpTop; New name and brand reflect strength of firm's service offerings

SEATTLE, Jan. 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Peak Systems is now Up Top – literally.

The full-service, web-based software application design firm that focuses on conversion and mobile today announced that it is changing its name to UpTop.

The news comes on the heels of the announcement in 2013 that Peak had joined forces with Produxs, a Seattle-based user experience design firm.

"We're excited to introduce our new brand, UpTop to the marketplace," said UpTop's chief executive officer John Sloat. "Businesses work hard to ensure that they are at the top of the market and working at the top of their game. We think the new name accurately reflects our collective experience and know-how to help our clients reach the top and stay there."

The complete brand experience of the new name echoes that sentiment, while giving a nod to the Seattle-based company's previous name as well as its geographic proximity to Mt. Rainier and the Cascades and Olympic mountain ranges in the Puget Sound region.

The name "UpTop" is followed by the brand's tagline, "Where Your Company Belongs." The company's new website also launched today at www.uptopcorp.com.

As leaders in conversion, mobile app and web development, the team at UpTop has built some of the industry's finest web portals and intranets for Fortune 1000 companies such as CenturyLink. CenturyLink's Business Markets Intranet, developed by engineers at UpTop, was named one of the world's 10 best intranets in 2012 by Nielsen Norman Group.

The company also designed, built and launched Diptic, a mobile photo application that enables users to edit photos and build photo collages, and its recently released sister app, Diptic PDQ. Diptic has had more than 3 million downloads since its release in 2010, and Diptic for Mac was named one of Apple's best apps in 2012 and 2013.

The user experience design team at UpTop has delivered award-winning work for clients such as Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, T-Mobile and a host of small- and mid-cap companies.

UpTop has more than 45 employees located at its current office in downtown Seattle and soon will be expanding into new office space in Seattle, Sloat said.
