1. Threadneedle Investment Services Limited, London, United Kingdom of
Great Britain, informed us in accordance with Section 21 Paragraph 1 of the
German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that its share of voting rights in
Symrise AG exceeded the 3 % threshold on January 22, 2014 and as of this
day amounts to 3.003 %. This corresponds to 3,548,938 voting rights.
These voting rights are attributed to it in accordance with Section 22
Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 No. 6 of the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG).

2. Threadneedle Investment Funds ICVC, London, United Kingdom of Great
Britain, informed us in accordance with Section 21 Paragraph 1 of the
German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) that its share of voting rights in
Symrise AG exceeded the 3 % threshold on January 23, 2014 and as of this
day amounts to 3.06 %. This corresponds to 3,612,346 voting rights.
