DADE CITY, Fla., Feb. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adding to his long list of certifications, Dr. Edward Kondrot is taking on a new certification process to become the first American to become certified in chromatotherapy. Beginning February 8, 2014, he will be traveling to Paris one weekend every other month for two years in order to study to become certified in chromatotherapy. Dr. Kondrot will study under the direction of Dr. Christian Agrapart. The new therapy techniques will be used to further assist in treating chronic eye diseases.

Dr. Agrapart is a physician and neuro-psychiatrist who is also the president and founder of the European Center for Research on Energetic Medicine and Colour (CEREC). He has also taught at several places in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and in Canada. The CEREC institute is dedicated to the teaching and clinical research of chromatotherapy. The therapy, which is used for treating chronic eye diseases, is performed by projecting colored light rays at eye level or on the various acupuncture points. It is used for complex, degenerative or autoimmune diseases. Dr. Kondrot and Dr. Agrapart plan to develop protocols that will be used to treat chronic eye disease like macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts.
