EMRISE Receives $1.1 Million in Orders for Radio Frequency Devices

DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EMRISE CORPORATION (OTCQB:EMRI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received a total of approximately $1.1million in orders for radio frequency (RF) devices to be used in systems to be employed by a military organization of a foreign country. Deliveries of the ordered RF devices are expected to begin in the third quarter of 2014 and be completed by mid-2015.

The orders were received from two of the Company's large, longstanding customers by its Pascall Electronics Ltd. subsidiary in England. Pascall provides custom and standard power systems, RF devices and integrated systems, subsystems and components for a broad range of military, civilian aerospace, commercial and other land-, air- and sea-based applications and programs.

EMRISE Chairman and Chief Executive Carmine T. Oliva said that these orders may indicate the beginning of a recovery in the Company's sales of electronic devices for military programs, as well as a firming up of sales of its RF devices product line. He also noted that the orders are important additions to the growing backlog of EMRISE's Electronic Devices segment.

"These orders for RF devices to be used in a military application are part of our core Electronic Devices business, which is focused on supplying custom and semi-custom electronic devices for a broad range of commercial applications, military programs and such important civilian aerospace applications as In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity systems," Oliva added.
