CORFAC International Announces Recent Multimarket Commercial Real Estate Transactions


FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CORFAC International 2014 President Robert Tillsley, SIOR, announced six of the commercial real estate network's top transactions that closed or commenced their respective terms in January.

Memphis, TN: Charles Sevier, SIOR, CCIM and Principal with Crump Commercial/CORFAC International co-represented Bizchair in the lease of a 382,500-square-foot industrial building at 8631 Polk Lane in Olive Branch, MS. The building is owned by Clarion Partners. Canton GA-based Bizchair is one of the nation's largest Internet-based retailers of chairs. Aaron Karasik with RG Real Estate in Atlanta represented the tenant along with Sevier.

San Jose, CA: Principals Mike Messinger and David Taxin with Meacham Oppenheimer/CORFAC International represented owner Byer Properties in a completed transaction with Target Stores for 140,000 square feet and a 24,545-square-foot lease to Sprouts Markets at Santa Clara Town Centre, a redevelopment at the corner of El Camino Real and Scott Blvd. in Santa Clara. The 279,000-square-foot shopping center is opening in October this year.

San Antonio, TX: Principals Steve Garza, SIOR, CCIM and Dan Gostylo with Providence Commercial Real Estate/CORFAC International represented the City of San Antonio in the lease of a 50,000-square-foot building that will be located at the corner of U.S. Highway 90 and Acme Road in west San Antonio. The building, now under construction, will be used as a Pre-K school. The previously undeveloped site consists of a little more than six acres and is owned by Flamingo Cay, LLC.

Richmond, VA: Dick Porter, SIOR, CCIM with Porter Realty/CORFAC International represented Schnabel Real Estate Holdings LLC in the acquisition of 9800 JEB Stuart Parkway in Glen Allen, VA, for $2.8 million. The 23,842-square-foot office building is on 3.35 acres within Virginia Center Technology Park off of Route 1, east of I-95 and north of I-295. The seller was Winging It LLC.

Atlanta, GA: Charles B. King, SIOR and Principal with King Industrial Realty/CORFAC International represented property owner Metzler Real Estate in a 136,666-square-foot industrial building lease to Seaco National Corp. which does business as Southeast Pet and is a distributor to independent pet retailers. The property is located at 7775 The Bluffs # H in Atlanta.

Orange County, CA: Special recognition goes to Michael Hartel with Voit Real Estate Services/CORFAC International's Irvine office. Hartel executed three of the top five largest industrial sales transactions last year in Orange County and all of his deals occurred in the fourth quarter. In the county's largest industrial sales transaction for 2013, Hartel represented the buyer for a 493,319 square-foot industrial building at 5901 Bolsa Ave. in Huntington Beach.
