Sergio George's Salsa Giants Release New Single & Announce More Tour Dates

"Bajo La Tormenta" Follows the Salsa Giants Grammy(R) Nomination & a Trio of Wins for George at the Latin Grammys(R)


NEW YORK, Feb. 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Super producer Sergio George and his collective of living legends, the Salsa Giants, have just released their new single "Bajo La Tormenta" which features Oscar D'Leon, Tito Nieves, Jose Alberto "El Canario," India, Ismael Miranda, Andy Montañez, Cheo Feliciano and Willy Chirino. The group has also added to the initial dates for their 2014 tour, which will see the collective travel to various locations in North and South America throughout the year. Recently, the group was nominated for a 2014 Grammy® Award for Best Tropical Latin Album. The nomination followed George's trio of wins at the 2013 Latin Grammy® Awards for Producer of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Salsa Album for the Salsa Giants. The group also closed out the show with an incredible performance.

Initial dates for the 2014 tour include:

  • Friday, February 21st, Arena Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico
  • Saturday, February 22nd, Expo Hall in Mundo Imperial, Acapulco, Mexico
  • Friday, February 28th, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, FL
  • Saturday, March 1st, Carnaval De Veracrus, Veracruz, Mexico
  • Wednesday, April 30th, Figali Convention Center, Panama City, Panama

Each tour stop will feature select members of the Salsa Giants including Oscar D'León, Cheo Feliciano, Andy Montañez, Willy Chirino, José Alberto "El Canario", Tito Nieves, Silvestre Dangond, Nora from the "Orquesta de la Luz" and Charlie Zaa. More dates will be announced over the coming months.
