NEW JERSEY SENATE PRESIDENT STEPHEN SWEENEY WILL DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT 18TH ANNUAL EAST COAST GAMING CONGRESS, MAY 19-20

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, N.J., Feb. 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New Jersey Senate President Stephen Sweeney will deliver the luncheon keynote address the 18th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress & iGaming Institute, which takes place May 19-20, 2014, at the Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

"Senate President Sweeney helps our venerable conference maintain a long tradition of attracting our state's top officials, including sitting, acting and former governors, as well as legislative leaders," said Michael Pollock, conference co-founder and managing director of Spectrum Gaming Group.

"The entire nation looks to New Jersey for leadership in gaming policy, and New Jersey looks to Senate President Sweeney for his guidance and leadership," said Lloyd D. Levenson, conference co-founder and CEO of the Cooper Levenson law firm.

As Senate President, Sweeney has taken a leading role in promoting property tax relief and refocusing the state's fiscal priorities. The Press of Atlantic City, ECGC's official Daily Newspaper, stated today, "Sweeney also pledged to "deal with the tax appeal issue," which has seen casino after casino win multimillion-dollar awards from Atlantic City because the assessments were based on their declining income. The appeals have cut into city and Atlantic County funds."
ECGC brings all the leaders – from government, suppliers and operators – who will collectively set the policies and make the decisions, into one place where their ideas can be cross-pollinated and placed in the broadest context.

ECGC is the premier forum for gaming experts to share ideas, express concerns and articulate visions about the past, present and future of the gaming industry and promises to be an essential forum for examining and coordinating ideas regarding the future of online and land-based gaming. Hot topics discussed at past congresses include market over-saturation, online gaming and the latest regulatory changes.

More than 600 gaming operators, equipment manufacturers, regulators, attorneys, architects, analysts, public officials, investors and other gaming-related professionals are attending the East Coast Gaming Congress. The full conference schedule and registration are available at www.ecgc.us. Early-bird registration savings are in effect through April 25.

Taking place at the spectacular Borgata Hotel & Casino, ECGC will provide attendees with valuable insight and education by those most knowledgeable about this evolving industry – as well as outstanding opportunities for networking, professional development and business-to-business discussions.
