LogMeIn Named One of World's Top 10 Most Innovative IoT Companies by Fast Company

BOSTON, Feb. 12, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LogMeIn, Inc. (Nasdaq:LOGM) has been named by Fast Company as one of the 10 most innovative Internet-of-Things (IoT) companies in the world. Recognized alongside other leading technology innovators like Nest (now part of Google), Belkin, Philips, and Intel, LogMeIn was highlighted for its focus on the enterprise, the early success of its Xively platform, and its IoT partnership with ARM.

In their selection of LogMeIn, the Fast Company editors point out that, "The IoT movement isn't purely consumer-based, which is why LogMeIn—the company that IPO'd by helping professionals operate devices remotely—has the enterprise in its crosshairs." Adding, "With Xively, LogMeIn has shifted its cloud capabilities to help businesses."

"LogMeIn has always been focused on developing disruptive innovations to help businesses transform how they connect and interact with the data, people and devices in their world. In our view, the Internet of Things represents the next great disruption. We see the IoT as an opportunity for businesses to fundamentally change the way they transform internal operations or deepen the connection with their customers," said Michael Simon, CEO of LogMeIn. "We are honored to be recognized by the editors at Fast Company for our work on commercial IoT applications through our Xively platform, and for helping our customers unlock the potential of this next critical wave in connectivity."

"The culture of innovation across the globe is more robust than ever," reports Fast Company editor Robert Safian, who identifies 12 lessons of innovation for 2014 within the issue. "To win in such a fast-changing environment requires a new kind of business agility."
