On 13 February 2014, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, L.P., Wilmington,
Delaware, USA and The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Wilmington, Delaware, USA
notified us pursuant to section 21 para. 1 WpHG of the following:
1) On 24 January 2014, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, L.P. exceeded the
threshold of 3% of the voting rights in RHÃN-KLINIKUM Aktiengesellschaft,
Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date,
Goldman Sachs Asset Management, L.P. held 3.02% of the voting rights in
RHÃN-KLINIKUM Aktiengesellschaft arising from 4,167,889 voting rights.
2) On 24 January 2014, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. exceeded the threshold
of 3% of the voting rights in RHÃN-KLINIKUM Aktiengesellschaft,
Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale, Germany. On that date, The
Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. held 3.02% of the voting rights in RHÃN-KLINIKUM
Aktiengesellschaft arising from 4,167,889 voting rights. Of these voting
rights, a proportion of 3.02% (equals 4,167,889 voting rights) is
attributed to The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. pursuant to section 22 para. 1
sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG (name of controlled undertaking: Goldman Sachs Asset
Management, L.P.).
