NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gainey McKenna & Egleston announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of all persons who purchased or otherwise acquired the common stock of Coty Inc. ("Coty" or the "Company") (NYSE:COTY) pursuant and/or traceable to the Company's registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") on Form S-1/A on May 28, 2013, and prospectus filed with the SEC on Form 424(b)(4) on June 13, 2013 ("Prospectus") (collectively the "Registration Statement") in the Company's initial public offering ("IPO") of over 57 million shares of common stock at a price of $17.50 per share (the "Class").

The Complaint alleges that Defendants violated Sections 11, 12(a)(2) and 15 of the Securities Act of 1933 because the Registration Statement contained untrue statements of material facts or omitted to state material facts necessary to make the statements made not misleading, and was not prepared in accordance with the applicable SEC rules and regulations governing its preparation.
