Reykjavik Energy Refinances Sewerage Loans


Reykjavik, 2014-02-17 15:04 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, representatives of Reykjavik Energy and Municipality Credit Iceland Plc.  signed a ten-year loan agreement in the amount of ISK 900 million. The loan was granted to refinance the City of Reykjavik‘s bonds RVK 05. The loan is CPI indexed with interests of 3.15%, which is more favorable than the bonds. The bonds were issued by The City of Reykjavik to finance sewerage investments and were serviced by Reykjavik Energy since the Company took over sewerage services from the City, in year 2006.
