Preliminary Figures for Financial Year 2013 - ADLER Exceeds Earnings
Forecast

Highlights for the 2013 financial year (preliminary, unaudited result):
  - Expected EBITDA EUR 42.9 million

  - Expected EBITDA margin 8.1%

  - Expected revenue for the year EUR 528.6 million

  - Expected like-for-like growth of 3.6%

Haibach (near Aschaffenburg), 20 February 2014 - Based on preliminary and
unaudited data, the Executive Board of Adler Modemärkte AG expects revenue
to increase by approximately 4.4% from EUR 506.1 million to approximately
EUR 528.6 million. The recorded growth results largely from existing
stores, which translates into a like-for-like growth of 3.6%.

Due to a non-recurring effect of approximately EUR 3.8 million resulting
from an increase in the redemption of discounts granted to participants in
the customer loyalty card programme, earnings before interest, taxes,
depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by approximately 20.5%
from EUR 35.5 million to approximately EUR 42.9 million. However, even
absent this non-recurring effect, EBITDA would have amounted to
approximately EUR 39.1 million, representing a considerable increase of
approximately 10.1% and an EBITDA margin of 7.5%.

The final and audited figures for financial year 2013 will be announced at
the presentation of the annual financial statements on 20 March 2013.
