Hackensack University Medical Center to Present at Interoperability Showcase

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VitreaView®, a universal viewer developed by Vital Images, Inc., a Toshiba Medical Systems Group Company, will be featured in a live case study conducted by Shafiq Rab, MD, Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Hackensack University Medical Center, during the Interoperability Showcase on Tuesday, February 25 at 4:30 p.m. in Hall F at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in Orlando, Fla.

Universal viewers have built momentum over the past year as healthcare leaders take additional measures to provide comprehensive medical information, including images, across their healthcare systems. VitreaView connects physicians with images integrated into their existing technologies such as electronic medical records (EMR), electronic health records (EHR) or through Health Information Exchanges (HIE). It provides access to DICOM and non-DICOM patient imaging through a simple, intuitive user interface across multiple technologies and databases.

HIMSS attendees are invited to join Vital for a networking reception with industry experts on Monday, February 24 from 4-6 p.m. and Tuesday, February 25 from 5-6 p.m. in Booth #1677.
