Press release 24.2.2014 at 9.30

An application period for Componenta’s International Trainee Program has started. Trainees will be search, for example, for finance, sales, engineering and product development as well as production positions in Componenta’s operations in Turkey, Finland and the Netherlands.

The program is organized for the fourth time. First in the program, university students who are in the middle in their studies are offered summer traineeship positions in their home countries, a part-time job or a final thesis position during winter and then an international internship during the second summer in another Componenta country.

Related to Componenta’s strategy to be able to offer world-class engineering to its customers, this year, the main focus is in engineering and product development positions as well as Production Engineer trainee positions to support production.

International Trainee Program has been very popular among university students in each Componenta country. For example, hundreds of students applied for the program in 2012.

“The previous participants have given positive feedback, especially the program’s international aspect, interesting duties and responsibilities as well as professional arrangements. We are proud that we are able to offer trainee positions for several young people during two summer periods,” says Anu Mankki, SVP, HR.

Trainee selection will be carried out during March-April and the first training period will start in May-June, according to a contract.

The most of the previous trainees have been employed in permanent and part-time positions e.g. in sales, finance, product development and production duties at Componenta.

“The trainee program is seen as one of the most important resourcing flows at Componenta. During the program, trainees gain experience from different functions of the company before a possible permanent employment. This is important from both parties’, trainees’ and the employer’s, point of view,” Mankki continues.
