Vossloh Aktiengesellschaft / Key word(s): Preliminary Results 27.02.2014 18:49 Dissemination of an Ad hoc announcement according to § 15 WpHG, transmitted by DGAP - a company of EQS Group AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Sales up by 6.3 percent to EUR1,321.2 million - EBIT squeezed by exceptional burdens of around EUR25 million - EBIT drops to EUR54.2 million (down from EUR97.5 million) - Sales prospects boosted by an order backlog of EUR1.73 billion - 2014 outlook of double-digit sales growth and clearly rising EBIT reaffirmed Provisional figures for fiscal 2013 indicate that the Vossloh Group raised its sales by 6.3 percent to EUR1,321.2 million (up from EUR1,243.0) and hence as budgeted by over 5 percent. The EBIT for the period will probably total EUR54.2 million-well short of the prior year's EUR97.5 million. The shortfall is chiefly due to exceptional burdens adding up to some EUR25 million. Also, project delays have depressed the margin in the Transportation division. Group earnings according to the figures provisionally available amount to EUR15.0 million (down from EUR59.2 million). The probable tax load ratio for 2013 is 34.6 percent (up from 27.3 %). The increase was mainly due to losses of certain companies of Vossloh Switch Systems. Against the background of the sharp reduction in earnings, Vossloh management board decided to suggest a dividend of 0,50 EUR per share (down from 2.00 EUR per share). The dividend proposal is subject to approval by Vossloh supervisory board. For the present fiscal year 2014 Vossloh is looking to an increase in group sales of more than 10 % generated by the two business units of the Transportation division. From today's vantage point, sales by the Rail Infrastructure division will reach the level of 2013 (which was much improved compared with 2012). The forecast is largely substantiated by the year-end 2013 order backlog of more than EUR1.7 billion of which the Transportation division accounts for some 70 percent. Because of the absence of the exceptional burdens and propelled by rising sales this year, the Group's EBIT for 2014 should also show a distinct recovery. Depending on the progress made in the Transportation division in executing major projects the EBIT-margin of Vossloh group will presumably come to 5 % - 7 %. The final figures for fiscal 2013 will be published by Vossloh AG on March 27, 2014. 27.02.2014 DGAP's Distribution Services include Regulatory Announcements, Financial/Corporate News and Press Releases.
