HONKARAKENNE OYJ STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN FAR-EAST AND LAUNCHES SALES IN CHINA
Honkarakenne strengthens its presence in Far-East Asia to accelerate growth by launching sales in China.
During 2013 Honkarakenne studied possibilities to expand its business and geographical reach in China. As a result of the go-to-market analysis Honkarakenne Oyj has made a co-operation agreement with two Chinese companies to promote Honkarakenne Oyj’s sales in China. These companies are Hantrong Investment Co., Ltd. and Beijing Hanhe Zhiye Co., Ltd. Additionally Honkarakenne has opened a representative office in Beijing, China. Representative office in China will assume the responsibility for promoting Honkarakenne Oyj’s brand and product portfolio in a growing market which will play strategic importance to Honkarakenne Oyj. Honkarakenne made an official sales opening launch on the 27 February 2014 in Beijing. The Honkarakenne sales opening of high quality massive wood houses raised a wide interest in China. There were four Chinese tv-stations and over 100 media representatives present in the sales launch.
Hantrong Investment Co., Ltd. is the subsidiary of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation, a large scale holding company under the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Since 1958 Honkarakenne has delivered more than 80 000 houses in over 50 countries. Approximately 60 per cent of Honkarakenne revenues are coming from international sales. Honkarakenne stands for healthy and ecological living and Honkarakenne also exports the knowhow of Finnish log house construction to international markets. Honkarakenne trains the partners who then locally construct the houses.
