Statman, Harris & Eyrich, LLC Announces That an Action Has Been Filed Against the National Hockey League ("NHL")

CINCINNATI, March 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The lawsuit, filed by another firm in federal court on November 25, 2013 (D.C.C. Case No. 13-1856), alleges that the NHL has been fraudulent and negligent by failing to respond effectively to decades of head injuries to its players. The complaint specifically claims that the NHL consistently ignores or is reluctant to recognize longstanding medical knowledge on concussions and fails to promptly introduce to players various protections that have been implemented in other hockey leagues around the world.

Former professional NHL players who retired on or before February 14, 2013 and who have suffered brain trauma and/or injuries as a result of concussive and sub-concussive impacts inflicted on them while playing in the NHL are encouraged to contact Brian Giles, Esq. at (513) 345-8181 or at classaction@statmanharris.com for further information about this action, without any cost of obligation.
