GOLETA, Calif., March 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Community West Bancshares (Nasdaq:CWBC), parent company of Community West Bank, today announced the addition of Janice Stewart as Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources. She will oversee all human resources functions for the Bank's 140 employees in multiple locations throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
"Janice brings over 30 years of human resources management experience as well as a strong knowledge of banking operations and procedures to Community West Bank," stated Martin Plourd, CEO and President. "Her deep knowledge of all facets of both banking and human resources will be valuable assets as we continue to grow the Bank."
Ms. Stewart's prior responsibilities include Human Resources Director for two Southern California community banks of 300 and 500 employees. She oversaw all HR functions, including training and development, compensation management, benefits administration, and the development of programs promoting a sales and customer services-oriented culture, as well as teambuilding and leadership skills.
Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer for a full service real estate company in Ruidoso, NM.
In addition to her career experience, Ms. Stewart holds multiple certificates in human resources management, job evaluation, and compensation, including an American Bankers' Association (ABA) Graduate School of Human Resources certification. Affiliations include the Western Independent Bankers H.R. Advisory Group and the Professionals in Human Resources Association.
