Lund, Sweden – 6 March 2014 – Anoto, leader of digital writing technology, today announced that a majority of its bids submitted for the first round of the Nursing Technology Fund in England have been successful.
The Nursing Technology Fund was announced by David Cameron, the Prime Minister, in October 2012 to help NHS Trusts in England implement new technologies that help front line nurses to devote more time to patient care.
Thirty percent of the £100million fund was released for the successful first round of applications. NHS Trusts were granted funds to deploy technologies, including Anoto digital writing and other options they believe will improve the efficiency of their nursing staff. Anoto digital writing technology allows nurses, midwives and health visitors to spend more time on patient care and reduces administrative overhead because patient forms are digitised as they are written, eliminating the need for rekeying, scanning and other duplication of efforts.
