Playa Hotels & Resorts Names Francisco J. Silva General Manager for the New Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos


FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. and LOS CABOS, Mexico, March 6, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alex Stadlin, Chief Executive Officer, Playa Resorts Management ("Playa") today announced the appointment of Francisco J. Silva as General Manager for the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Mr. Silva joins Playa from Villa del Arco Resort & Spa in Los Cabos. 

The new Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos opened this past November and has already been recognized as a AAA Four Diamond Resort. Located beachfront on the spectacular Sea of Cortes in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is the premier Hyatt-branded all-inclusive resort. Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos offers 619 spacious guest suites; eight restaurants and six bars and lounges; 35,000 square feet of conference and event space; as well as breathtaking outdoor group event venues that feature the resort's private lagoons and expansive beach.

Mr. Silva succeeds Hernan Vanegas as General Manager at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Mr. Vanegas, who has been with Playa Resorts in various capacities since its inception, has accepted the position of Vice President of Asset Management in Mexico for Playa Resorts Management and will be headquartered at Playa's office in Cancun.
