DOHA, Qatar, March 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development and Cerner Middle East, health care information technology (HIT) solution provider, successfully delivered an ambulatory electronic health record (EHR). Qatar Foundation Primary Health Care Center is the first health care organization in Qatar to successfully install Cerner Millennium.
Continuing to build on the country's commitment to transform health care, Qatar Foundation Primary Health Care Center's vision is to provide a range of primary health care medical and dental services to the Qatar Foundation community. Located in Education City, the newly constructed medical center has on site services for curative care, preventive care, radiology, clinical laboratory and dental services.

The Cerner® solutions implemented have automated physician and nursing workflows, along with laboratory, dental and administrative services. Clinicians at Qatar Foundation Primary Health Care Center are able to document care and place medication and other orders directly in the EMR.
